Duke of Marlborough heir marries his childhood sweetheart who he has been with since the age of 16

George Spencer-Churchill, 26, and his childhood sweetheart Camilla Thorp, 31, tied the knot at St Mary Magdalene Church in Woodstock today and were showered in confetti after the ceremony.

The heir to Blenheim Palace and a £100m fortune has tied the knot with his childhood sweetheart today in a lavish ceremony near Oxford.

Lords and ladies arrived early this morning for the wedding of George Spencer-Churchill, 26, and Camilla Thorp, 31, at St Mary Magdalene Church in Woodstock - close to the palace itself.

The 26-year-old aristocrat and polo player was looking dapper with a blue waistcoat and tie alongside his wedding tails.

While his wife, now named Camilla Spencer-Thorp, was looking radiant in her off the shoulder patterned wedding dress.

The two certainly set heads turning in Woodstock today, but they are no strangers to attention.       

George, who will one day inherit Blenheim Palace and an estimated £100m fortune, does not shy away from sharing moments of his life on social media. 

The well-heeled aviation broker - whose full name is George John Godolphin Spencer-Churchill, Marquess of Blandford - is the son of James Spencer-Churchill, 12th Duke of Marlborough and his first wife Rebecca Mary Few Brown.  

As marchioness, Camilla will one day preside over 187-room Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire with her husband.
